I have found that during the winter months, the photography market starts to heat up, especially from where I sit in Europe. Over the last few months, we’ve heard about announcements and releases of professional caliber cameras entering the market. While many issues take center stage in marketing slogans and advertising, we have felt that the professional photographer is looking beyond the latest megapixel amount when it comes to making a buying decision.
As the quality demands laid on professionals become ever more extreme, the one way to get the utmost quality from the camera bodies, lenses and digital backs, is to integrate them ever more closely. So this movement to tailor camera models, proprietary software and specific digital backs to work together - is here to stay. And that is where Leaf is bringing to the market the Leaf AFi Camera System.
The recent issue of the British Journal of Photography (Feb ’08) emphasized this perception of the market. While testing the Leaf AFi, Adam Woolfitt, takes a moment to survey the developments and changes in medium format photography. The comprehensive article lists some of the standout features and specs of the camera, while giving a hands-on impression of how it drives.

He has worked with some of the biggest personalities in the world of music, movies, and advertising. Pushed forward by the increasing demands of his clients, a few years ago, he determined he had to make the jump from film to digital.
