"I wanted to combine antique "masculine" hand tools with modern "feminine" beauty tools."

As a child Dawn Giarrizzo spent countless hours shooting everything and anything in her hometown of Rochester, NY. Her early influences included Eastman Kodak and her father who was an amateur photographer.

Earning a BA in Photography and Philosophy from SUNY Buffalo, along the way Dawn discovered that photography was more than just apertures and shutter speeds. She recognized she had the power to communicate through her imagery.
Metallic reactive gradations from dark to light or illuminating prisms on glass; these are the mediums that fuel passion into Dawn’s imagery. She is forever in awe of the way light interacts with different materials and how manipulating that light evokes emotion. On a quest over the years for the optimum subjects to explore these combinations, Dawn discovered jewelry and cosmetics as her specialty.

Her clients include Barney's New York, Vera Wang, J. Crew, Macys, Macys.com, Lucky, Real Simple, InStyle, People, Parenting, Essence, Parson’s School of Design, Kurt S. Adler and Two’s Company.
